2. Feature List

➤ 1. Manuscript Proposal

  • Author submits a manuscript proposal from website, including a synopsis, target audience, and unique selling points.
  • Proposal is recorded in the system with metadata like Book Title, Subtitle, Author Name, Target Audience, Book Overview, Table of Contents, Sample Chapters.

➤ 2. Evaluation of the Proposal (Editorial Review)

  • For approved proposals, the system generates a draft contract specifying:
    1. Royalty percentage.
    1. Payment terms (advance, payment frequency).
    2. Timelines for manuscript submission.
  • Contract is reviewed and finalized by both parties.
  • Digital signatures or approvals are captured within the system.
  • Contract status is updated to "Signed," and a copy is sent to the author.

Under Review We can upload chapter-wise material, with each chapter assigned a status: • Not Started • Under Review • In Progress • Completed

• Manuscript is assigned to editors and proofreaders. • The system tracks progress through milestones: 1. Initial Editing. 2. Author Feedback. 3. Final Proofreading. • Edited versions are uploaded and reviewed iteratively until approval. • Status updates to "Editing Completed."

➤ 6. Typesetting and Design (Layout and Cover Design)

• Design team starts with the manuscript layout, typesetting, and cover design. • Draft designs are shared with the author for feedback. • The system tracks changes and approvals for both layout and cover. • Once finalized, files are locked for production, and the status changes to "Design Completed"

• Finalized files are sent to the printer. • System generates a print order with quantities, specifications, and deadlines. • Print batches are tracked, and production progress is updated. • Status changes to "Printing Completed" once production is done.
